Biography
Stephen M. Rice is a founding partner of Rice Reuther Sullivan & Carroll, LLP. Mr. Rice practices primarily the areas of real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financings, venture formation and general real estate development matters. Mr. Rice also serves as General Counsel to Basic Management, Inc. and its affiliated companies, one of the largest landowners in the Las Vegas Valley. He was previously a partner with the law firm of Jones Vargas in Las Vegas, Nevada and was associated with the firm of Gilchrist & Rutter in Los Angeles, California.
Mr. Rice is a graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas and the Law School of the University of California, Los Angeles. He also received an LLM (Taxation) from the University of San Diego, graduating summa cum laude. Mr. Rice is a member of the bars of Nevada, California and Texas.
Mr. Rice has been ranked as one of the leading real estate lawyers in Nevada by Chambers USA since 2002, included in The Best Lawyers in America™ Real Estate since 2006, and one of the Mountain States Super Lawyers since 2009 (Real Estate).
