Robert B. Kouchoukos

I focus my practice on the negotiation and  drafting of film, televison and live stage production and financing, distribution, recording, music publishing, book publishing, live performance, talent, management, collaboration, joint venture, merchandising, sponsorship, literary and screenplay option and purchase and venue lease agreements. 

I also have significant experience prosecuting, protecting and licensing copyrights and trademarks and conducting rights clearances and related due diligence for a variety of entertainment properties, including, catalogs of recorded music, motion pictures, television programs, books and websites.

Prior to practicing law, I served as Artist and Repertoire Director at Guidance Recordings, a Chicago based record label and music publishing company I co-founded in 1996.  During my eight years at Guidance, I signed numerous recording artists, established and maintained a global network of licensing and distribution partners and negotiated and drafted recording, remix,  music publishing, distribution, master use, synchronization, soundtrack and compilation license agreements.
