Christine L Atwood

Christine Atwood is an Attorney in our Litigation Practice Group based in Las Vegas, NV, practicing in jurisdictions across northern and southern Nevada. Christine focuses her practice in the area of civil litigation, including but not limited to insurance defense, Anti-SLAPP, complex litigation, and general business litigation. Christine has experience with mandatory and binding arbitration, complex mediation and settlement conferences, and both civil and criminal jury trials.

Christine provides clients with legal advice and guidance to obtain favorable outcomes. She is well organized, and attentive, ensuring documentation and litigation proceedings go through the proper channels for maximized efficiency. She is consistently seeking to identify areas of potential or existing issues to provide actionable recommendations on process improvement to avoid liability, in accordance with legal options.

Christine began her practice of law at the Clark County District Attorney's office, where she was trained in courtroom etiquette, trial practice, and oral argument. She went on to work as a law clerk with CCDA where she submitted over 100 substantive motions, including eleven (11) briefs with the Nevada Supreme Court, all of which resulted in the convictions being affirmed. Christine then transitioned to civil litigation where she spent time working at a small insurance defense firm before joining our team.

Christine leverages a unique background in marketing and event management to provide counsel to a variety of industries, including arena events, concert promotion, and fundraising. She uses her communication skills to execute detailed research and due diligence, efficiently collecting pertinent evidence, and circumstantial data.

Christine holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Oklahoma where she served as the Vice President of the Student Bar Association. She is an avid Oklahoma Sooners Fan and enjoys spending her free time cooking, hiking, and following college football.

Christine is admitted to practice with the state bar of Nevada and the United States District Court, District of Nevada. She is a member of the Howard McKibben Inn of Court, Nevada Bar Association, Clark County Bar Association, Junior League of Las Vegas, as well as Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity.
