California attorneys, unlicensed in Nevada, attempted to settle Nevada car accident case. They didn't get it settled and as the statute of limitations was about to run they drafted a proper person comp ... laint, had the client sign it, and filed it. Then they did nothing further and the deadline for serving the complaint ran. When client contacted me I served the complaint and the court threw the complaint out. So I sued his California attorneys for malpractice.

TV advertising lawyer's staff promised client that the attorney's fee would be reduced to 22.67% if client took the offer. Client agreed and signed a settlement sheet that represented the fee as being ... 22.67% when it was actually 28%. Client spend the next 8 months trying to get this fixed; he never once got through to a lawyer, nor did he ever see a lawyer the whole time he was being represented. I told client that the client could file a fee dispute arbitration with the state bar that would get this resolved in his favor for free or he could pay me to handle the matter. The client chose to pay me and I had his refund check within two days.
