Gregory J. Carlson

Greg has practiced law in Nevada since 2008 and in California since 2010. Over the course of his career, he has worked with both large and small law firms across Nevada and California, including one of California’s premier estate planning firms and the estate planning department of one of Nevada’s largest law firms. He previously operated his own estate planning practice and most recently served as Legal Director for Charles Schwab Trust Company in Nevada. In that role, Greg advised Schwab’s trust administration team and collaborated with attorneys nationwide to draft a wide range of trusts for their clients.

Earlier in his career, Greg worked as a law clerk for the claims legal group of a national insurance company, served as a tax intern for one of the “Big Four” accounting firms, and spent several years as both general counsel and general manager for multiple family-owned businesses. This diverse background gives him a well-rounded perspective that blends legal, tax, and business strategy.

Greg graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University in 2004. He earned his Master of Accountancy (MAcc) in Tax from the same institution in 2005. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor, cum laude, with an emphasis in tax, from the University of California Hastings College of the Law. Greg passed the Florida Certified Public Accountant exam and became a CPA in 2005 (currently inactive), and he is admitted to practice law in both Nevada and California.

Greg also served a two-year church service mission in Santiago, Chile, where he became fluent in Spanish. He has been married to his wife, Natalie, for nearly two decades, and together they are raising two sons. Outside of his professional work, Greg enjoys serving in his church, playing pickleball, and—most importantly—spending time with his family.
