Shaina R Plaksin

Shaina R. Plaksin is the founder and principal attorney of Immigration Legal Consulting LLC (ILC), a Las Vegas immigration law firm dedicated exclusively to helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate the U.S. immigration system.

ILC was established to provide high-quality immigration assistance at an affordable price. At ILC, we combine attention to detail with the expertise to help clients move forward with confidence — from feeling overwhelmed by the process to feeling relieved and secure in their immigration solution.

Ms. Plaksin graduated magna cum laude from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law, where she ranked in the top 5% of her graduating class. She was awarded the prestigious William S. Boyd Outstanding Graduate Award and achieved Pro Bono High Honors. Throughout law school, she was a Public Interest Fellow, served as co-President of the Public Interest Law Association (PILA), and served as Articles Editor on the Nevada Law Journal (Law Review). She earned the highest grade in multiple courses, including Immigration Law, and participated as a student attorney in the Thomas & Mack Legal Clinic's immigration law program.

Prior to founding ILC, Ms. Plaksin clerked for two years for the Honorable Gloria M. Navarro at the United States District Court for the District of Nevada, and later worked as a litigation attorney specializing in consumer protection. Through these experiences, she developed strong skills in legal strategy, research, and advocacy.

Ms. Plaksin is a proud member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and a committed advocate for pro bono services. She volunteers regularly with the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and was recognized as their Pro Bono Volunteer of the Month in November 2020.

Outside of her practice, Shaina is a mom to two young daughters and two large dogs, and enjoys reading novels and traveling with her family.
