Biography
Candace C. Carlyon is a founding member of Carlyon Cica, Chtd. She has represented lenders and other parties in commercial litigation and reorganization matters since 1986. She pracices in Nevada and California, as well as having appeared in bankruptcy matters throughout the United States. She has been certified as a Business Bankruptcy Specialist by the American Board of Certification of Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Attorneys since 1994. Ms. Carlyon currently serves as a part time Judge Pro Tempore for the Clark County Eighth Judicial District Court’s Short Trial Program, and has previously served as a Nevada Supreme Court Settlement Judge and as a mediator with the Nevada Foreclosure Mediation Program. Ms. Carlyon has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America in the field of bankruptcy since 1994. Ms. Carlyon has held an “A-V” rating, the highest available, since 1989. Her legal experience includes representation of numerous financial institutions, hotels, casinos, creditors’ committees, bondholders’ committees, title companies, real estate developers investment entities and insurance companies. In addition she has been repeatedly recognized as an outstanding attorney by such organizations as the Mountain West Super Lawyers, Nevada Super Lawyers, and Nevada Legal Elite.
