I don’t have a typical background for a Las Vegas personal injury lawyer — and I’m grateful for the path that brought me here.

I graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law at 18 years old, which made me the youngest graduate in the school’s history. I worked hard for that opportunity, and it set the foundation for the way I approach my practice: with preparation, discipline, and a deep respect for the responsibility clients place in me.

Before founding Boyd Legal PLLC, I spent several years as a professional poker player, competing in Las Vegas and around the world and earning three World Series of Poker bracelets. Poker taught me patience, focus, and how important it is to stay steady when the pressure rises. It also taught me that preparation matters far more than bravado — something that carries directly into how I handle injury cases today.

As a personal injury attorney, my focus is simple: listen carefully, prepare thoroughly, and advocate consistently. Insurance companies approach cases methodically, and I believe my clients deserve the same level of thoughtfulness and strategy on their side. I work to understand not just the legal issues, but how an injury has affected someone’s daily life.

I’m also a father to two young kids, Kurt (5) and Cora (4). Being their dad has changed my perspective in the best way. It reminds me every day that when someone is injured, it’s not just a case file — it’s a person, a family, and a future that may feel uncertain. I take that responsibility seriously.
