Todd Matthew Leventhal

I had been introduced to Todd Leventhal by someone who he had represented in the past. Consultation went ok, a retainer fee was understood at $10,000. Todd said for the time being he was not going to sign on for the simple reasoning i had just been appointed a state appointed attorney and to allow hi...m to do alot of the paper chasing things and steps that the courts must go through to get to trial. Todd said when the time is right he will sign on and take it from there. For the time being i was to round up $ whether it be payments or full payment of $10k for retainer. I made in total payments to Todd Leventhal $7100. I recieved a bench warrant on this case at a point and was picked up and put in jail. At no point while in jail did Todd come talk to me or even answer my families calls as to what was going on. I realize i never made my payments to Todds retainer amount. I was forced to have to proceed on with a court appointed attorney that at the time i did not want representing me. A week away from trial i signed to a guilty plea, releasing me from jail. I then went to Todds office inquiring about getting my $ back. He agreed there would be a refund coming just that a few things needed to happen first. His office workers needed to look up how much i had paid and he needed for a couple other cases to get paid out before he would have my refund for me. Then covid hit, and the next time i spoke with Todd, months later, he began calling me names and telling me how i was bugging his office too much and to basically back off he will let me know when my refund is ready. Along the way before my sentencing he made threats to go to my sentencing judge and tell him all about me. He even called me up and said,"Have u seen wat i did recently? I got my MS13 guy off on murder charges." I took that as a direct threat. He then told me if he wanted to he could say that with all the time in he had on my case he could claim that there was no $ left for a refund. Todd did 1 thing for my case, he git me a continuance so i could get my finances in order. THATS IT! No investigation into my discover nothing! He has been all of rude, name calling, false accusations as to what was said. It boils down to this, he has yet to refund me ANY $. My case has been settled over 9 months ago. I am to speak with him 1 more time this week but as he has now told me again there is no $ left for a refund. He never signed on and left me high and dry in jail with no heads up as to what to do. Todd Leventhal has the upmost worthless integrity of any attorney i have ever seen. I give this as a testimonial to my involvement with Todd Leventhal. I would not recommend to hire him or consult with him. He numerous times asked me to find him hookers to meet up with him but had no intention of paying. His business is only out for his benefit only.

If you're looking for a bunch of representatives under some type of feminists regime, this is the group for you. Imagine not being able to take your clients calls so you have your female associates do ALL your dirty work. This guy is the king of sugar coating, but instead of winning you a case he wil...l sign, file and sprinkle on motions without you knowing or being consulted. If he answered his phone more than once a week than maybe he'd have the time to keep his clients informed on what type of actions he'd like to perfrom but this man is literally the hardest lawyer I've ever attempted to get in contact with, that was after I played him. My children had been heavily abused and when I call todd and associates, me being obviously emotional and crying about the situation, they HANG up in my face and withdrew from my case. Then sent me an email stating "we dont accept that type of behavior. " This lawyer withdrew from my case AS SOON as i expressed the smallest ounce of emotion, so if you have a case that's something more dramatic than a custody battle, wich is just about EVERYTHING else, I highly recommend you look for a better lawyer. My friends spoke very highly of Todd, but all he did was take 4 thousand dollars from a minimum waged amazon worker with children who have an abusive mother. Maybe I was an ididot for hiring a criminal case lawyer for a simple custody battle, but if they were forced to withdraw from someting so minor, what makes you think hes your lawyer for your BIG criminal case. DONT DO IT! When the going gets tough ,Todd and Associates will bail on you. So be careful when hiring this narcissistic money hungry grinch, because him and his gang of heartless associates will withdraw from your case RIGHT when you pay them.

It all started in 1997 when I picked up a domestic violence case and hired different lawyers to try to get me out of my legal problems and all they did was take my money and just forced me to take the first deal that the da threw at me, they sucked. Finally I got to meet Mr Leventhal. Ive known mr Le...venthal for about 10 years now and have gotten to know him quite well as a Lawyer and as a friend needless to say I have gotten to love this gentleman like a brother. I say that because only a brother would fight so hard for you and be there for you like he does. He does not just keep me informed, but always keeps it honest advising me of the risks that I can take if I choose to take a deal or not, but never ever has he once pushed me to make a decision that I would not want. He is with me ready to fight any case regardless of the outcome and if Im typing this review from the comfort of my house its all thanks to Todd Mathew Leventhal "EXCELLENT". I WOULD DEFINITELY recommend this lawyer.. unless of course you got a few years you would like to spend up in prison.

Over the last 18 months I have had an expectation that Mr. leventhal would complete his duties as were agreed upon during our inital meeting. He accepted the case and my money and has scince done nothing . No papers have been filed, and in the mean time the financial impact of his inaction has had de...vistating effect on my family.
