Russell D. Collings

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Utah Valley University in 2005 where I was awarded the Academic Achievement Award for graduating top of my class. After graduating from Utah Valley, I attended California Western School of Law where I earned my law degree in 2008. While attending California Western, was also awarded the Academic Achievement Award for excellence in Negotiation. After graduating from law school and passing the bar, I was admitted to the Utah Bar; the United States District Court for the Central District of Utah; the Nevada Bar; and the United States District Court for the District of Nevada in 2009.

Prior to moving to Nevada, I worked as a solo practitioner in Utah with a primary focus on Bankruptcy, Immigration and Criminal Defense matters. Since moving to Las Vegas in 2011, I have gained extensive experience litigating insurance defense matters, including: personal injury claims; product liability claims; complex construction defect claims; and catastrophic personal injury claims. After working with numerous insurance companies over the past several years I have gained a comprehensive understanding of how insurance companies work and the technicalities in which their teams of adjusters evaluate personal injury claims.

Prior to starting my secondary education, I served a two-year service mission for for my church in the beautiful Country of Argentina. I still speak and write fluent Spanish. When I am not working he enjoy spending time at sporting events and out on the lake with my wife and four children.
