I hired Ms. Bernhardt to represent me against a temporary protection order placed on me following an incident with my son's mother. The order also listed my son, thus removing him from my custody. Ms. Bernhardt did an excellent job collecting my testimony and compiling my evidence to not only prove... that my accuser was actually the primary aggressor in the situation, but also attacking the legality of the order as it was improperly filed and did not meet the legal requirements to hold up. Upon serving the opposition to my ex, she called the office and expressed her desire to have the case dropped, even indicating she would not attend the hearing. She did not, in fact, attend the hearing and the judge ordered the TPO dissolved and I greatly look forward to seeing my son again soon! Again, I would love to give kudos to Ms. Bernhardt for her quick and compelling work. Not only was she able to present a compelling argument on the basis of my testimony and evidence, but she was also able to attack the legality of the order as it was originally submitted, creating a sturdy two-pronged approach to my opposition as the adverse party. I will not hesitate to recommend Ms. Bernhardt and her office for any and all family law matters, and I will undoubtedly retain Ms. Bernhardt as my counsel in the unfortunate event of any future occurrences.
