Attorney John Parris was my public defender. He never returned one call to my family and I stayed in jail for six months waiting for him to file a motion so I could be released. He never filed the motion and my family had to scrape up the money to hire another attorney. If John Parris is appointed as... your public defender, then you should ask for a different one. He will do more harm to your case while letting you rot in jail.
