Yolanda Cristal Carapia

I am an associate attorney at J. Cogburn Law where I primarily represent personal injury clients. I have extensive experience representing thousands of clients injured in motor vehicle wrecks, slips and falls, dog bites, and wrongful death cases. I have recovered millions of dollars for clients and handled hundreds of personal injury cases in Las Vegas. Based upon my exceptional advocacy and legal accomplishments, I have been named one of the Top Ranked Attorneys for 2022 by Nevada Business Magazine and a Rising Star by Nevada Justice Association in 2022.

I was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Writing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Throughout college, I worked at a personal injury law firm. I obtained my Juris Doctorate degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law in 2018. During law school, I was an Articles Editor for the Nevada Law Journal. I was also an active member of the Nevada Justice Association, La Voz, and a member of the Student Body Association. I also served as an extern for the Honorable Judge Bare and the Honorable Judge Togliatti at the Eighth Judicial District Court.

I was admitted to practice law before the state and federal courts of Nevada, the state courts of Arizona, and the state courts of New Mexico. I am a member of the Nevada Justice Association, the American Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Nevada.

I am also currently a member of the Nevada Editorial Board and the Character and Fitness Committee for the Nevada State Bar. I am also a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and Club X Committee for the Nevada Justice Association.
