Michael D. Lum

Michael graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and in 2009 with a Master’s Degree in Accountancy with an emphasis in Taxation.  In 2012, Michael earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

While attending law school, Michael participated in the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic.  He represented low income taxpayers with tax disputes before the Internal Revenue Service.

 Michael earned Dean’s Honors for his academic performance in law school and was the recipient of a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for high grade honors in the study of Federal Taxation.

 Prior to attending law school, Michael was a banker and most recently held the position of Assistant Vice President at Bank of Nevada, a wholly owned subsidiary of Western Alliance Bancorp.  Michael was a Commercial Loan Officer responsible for the funding of various local developments and businesses.
