After holding my case up for a year and a half this lawyer and his two person staff decided to drop my case. My case seems very cut and dry, I am injured and need PT and proper care. I can only assume that he was paid off to drop my case as I am owed back pay as well as continued compensation. PT was... recently ordered by the Appeals Officer. I received a copy of the order after demanding it be scanned and emailed to me from the secretary. Since I was always met with resistance when inquiring about status of my case, or if I didn't understand something, I waited a few weeks and heard nothing from them. In the mean time, the insurance company had sent my script for my PT visits to an address I haven't lived at for 8 months. My lawyer and his staff knew that I had lost my home and have been homeless since the beginning of the year. They knew 100% that I could not be reached by mail. They knowingly withheld my prescription and other documents from me resulting in my missing PT all together. I was only made aware of this because the automated computer system from the follow up Dr. called to confirm my appointment. After that, I called the incompetent paralegal to find out what was going on. Like always, she had no clue what was going on. She continued to give me wrong answers escalating an already confusing situation. Being irate, I told her I didn't want to speak to hear and asked for me lawyer to call me when they figured it out. I never received a phone call, just a drafted letter dropping my case. Not only were his remarks incorrect (as he seems to think I attended PT) but it was completely clear he never had intentions to help me receive proper treatment. He made no efforts to achieve the outcomes we had discussed upon consultation. He and his staff were repeatedly condescending and not at all helpful. I was never updated on status of my case and to get answers was like pulling teeth and they acted so bothered to do so. Douglas Clark also refused to answer my questions and inform me of my rights when seeing Dr's; which I feel is a priority in these matters. Since I am unemployable and am able to find free wi-fi at coffee shops, I will be reviewing HDC and his staff on every platform available in hopes that another persons injury / case / wellbeing doesn't get held up or ruined by these people.
