The physician diagnosed “compulsive” water drinking /psyc ... hological problems. Four years later, the teen developed severe headaches, which led to diagnosis of a pituitary gland tumor. Though non-cancerous, growth of the tumor destroyed function of the pituitary gland, resulting in need for lifetime hormone supplements, with ongoing, chronic fatigue, attention and memory difficulties.
