The plaintiff was a police aide who alleged that she had been subject to an ongoing tirade of inappropriate physical innuendos and come-ons from the chief of police, who denied any such conduct. The plaintiff also alleged that she was retaliated against when she applied for another job and that employer decided not to hire her, based upon information supplied by the defendant. The jury didn't believe the plaintiff and, after deliberating just one hour, returned a unanimous defense verdict on all three counts.
