The wheels of justice in the Bronx often move slowly. Our firm has been handling this case for 15 years. We were at the funeral for our client and later that day I was handed the microphone rather than ... Rev. Al Sharpton at the protest outside the precinct as we sought justice after the shooting. As we argued in court, the police officers involved were not bad cops. I deposed them - they were good police officers, respectful men with impeccable records. Nonetheless, we were steadfast in our belief this was a negligent shooting that tragically left a man dead. We are proud that our firm took a case that others passed on, a case the city defended aggressively and one we prosecuted strategically and ultimately convinced the city of New York to settle for 1.25 million dollars.
