I asked at the Pickett Law Firm for help regarding my case of violence and divorce from my current husband. They accepted my case after a retainer of $ 5.000 was given, Mr. Swaim was in charge and provided general information to me. During my several visits I found out, that he always explained to m...e the rights of my husband, never my rights and I got frustrated. He lectured me a few times, that I should not speak or interrupt him, this was more than strange to me. I thought, something is not right here, but didn't want to ask him to get more frustrated. Since my husband did a lot of things to hurt me physical and emotional, Mr. Swaim was not willing to help me to solve or listen to my complaints. He eveb didn't care, if I was before in a Women Shelter for weeks or not, I told him so a few times, but he never asked why and.ignored a conversation about it. I also was 2 times in a hospital because of bruises on my arm and in my face incl. my eye, but he never cared about that fact. It was important for him to cover my husband and his misbehavior. I was less and finally not be able to take this disrespect anymore. Finally I decided to quit on the whole situation. He wrote me with his last letter, that he can not hold on to this case anymore because if misunderstandings with me. All this happened after a week before he was telling me in written form, that he would proceed with my divorce regardless if I agree or not. This is not understandable nor acceptable.
