Joshua L. Smith

 Joshua L. Smith has recently joined the Watson Law Office, LLC.  Mr. Smith received his law degree from the Texas Tech University School of Law in 2007.  While at Texas Tech Mr. Smith focused on water law and natural resources as well as civil litigation.

He returned to Las Cruces and began as an associate with the law firm of Hubert & Hernandez, P.A. practicing primarily water law, administrative law, real estate and domestic relations.

Mr. Smith then moved to the law firm of Miller Stratvert P.A. in its Las Cruces office where he continued to practice water law along with medical malpractice defense, civil rights, employment law, commercial litigation and insurance defense.

Mr. Smith has significant experience representing a number of mutual domestic water consumer associations and similar entities throughout southern New Mexico.  He also works with business owners to meet all of their needs from formation to dissolution.

Raised on the Hatchet Ranch in Southwest New Mexico before moving to Deming where he graduated from high school, Mr. Smith has strong ties to southern New Mexico and the agricultural community.  He received his B.S. in Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Business from New Mexico State University in 2003.
