Jocelyn Garrison realtor/attorney I sold my home in NM by owner but offered 3% to any realtor who brings a buyer. The realtor who showed up is an attorney as well. I didnt realize this but found out later. I told her the 3% was so that she could represent me along with her clients.The buyers couldn...t quite afford my house so digits were being pushed around and contracts were changing daily. Joselyn Garrison the realtor asked if I would offer the buyers 5k to make a few changes even though my house wss immaculate I agreed. I was nervous and I'm 68 and sometimes get confused plus I'm single/alone. I was signing little boxes constantly not being explained the changes. But I am short on money as well. When they walked in, the realtor said, they have a 15k credit and I felt relief like they had some how come across the money. Not knowing I was the provider of this credit. As a school teacher a credit Is a good thing. It was never explained to me that a credit was a negative thing. Nothing was explained. I thought everything was good, trusted the attorney to look out for me since I just gave her 3% or 10k. Then I received a call saying that the buyers were still short and needed 5k to sign. Not knowing about the 15k credit, I agreed to offer 5k to help them close. Once I found out I was duped I walked out of the signing. Realtor wasn't even there. My belongings were already sent to NC. I walked out crying. I had no one to explain to me why i was being charged for the entire closing plus inspections. At home I began getting calls from Jocelyn threatening that by not signing I would lose my house here plus the house in NC plus all my belongings were shipped. So I had to sign. My belongings were gone. Now because of her actions. I am 30k short on my own closing. Then she wouldn't even agree to send my home appraisal that I paid for. She smuggly told me to get my own realtor next time if I wanted to be represented. She sent that by text so there is proof. At thw title agency they had no idea what to do. Said they dont get involved in anything legal but when asked they admitted that they had never seen this happen before where the seller was responsible for mostly everything. The lenders were confused, they couldnt believe she did this. No ethics at all.
