Leah M. Stevens-Block

Leah M. Stevens-Block is an associate of the firm and a newly-admitted member of the New Mexico Bar. Leah M. Stevens-Block graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2013 and is a member to the Order of the Coif.

As a law student, Ms. Stevens-Block was the recipient of the A.H. McLeod Award, which recognizes excellence in advocacy, and granted the Dean’s Award for outstanding contributions to the law school community. She was a finalist in the New Mexico Court of Appeals Appellate Advocacy Tournament during her first year of law school, and was a semifinalist at the Texas Young Lawyers Association’s National Trial Competition in 2013. In addition, Ms. Stevens-Block has served as a teaching assistant for two legal writing classes and as the managing editor of the Tribal Law Journal.

Prior to joining Sheehan & Sheehan, Ms. Stevens-Block worked as both a law clerk and associate attorney in an Albuquerque based federal criminal defense and civil litigation firm, where she gained experience in business litigation and white-collar criminal defense.
