Josh Allison graduated summa cum laude from the University of New Mexico School of Law (Order of the Coif) in 2008. Prior to joining Sheehan & Sheehan, Mr. Allison clerked for Chief Justice Edward L. Chávez of the New Mexico Supreme Court and was an associate with Snell & Wilmer L.L.P. in their Orange County, California office.
Mr. Allison’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation with an emphasis in construction-related disputes and insurance coverage issues. He also partners with Briggs F. Cheney, Of Counsel to the firm, in defending legal malpractice and other claims against lawyers. He also serves as outside general counsel to the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority.
Mr. Allison’s relationship with the Sheehan firm began in June, 2006, as one of the firm’s law clerks. After practicing law in California for a time, he joined our firm as an associate in June 2010.
