Sarita Garg

Sarita Garg, the founding partner of Garg & Associates, P.C. has over ten years of legal experience, covering a multitude of different practice areas, including Immigration Law, Family Law, Wils/Trusts/Probate & Estate Planning, Civil Litigation, Employment Law, Criminal Defense, and Business Law. Sarita Garg has been actively developing and managing the operations of the Practice in Texas, California, and New Mexico for seven years now.

Sarita Garg attended the University of Alberta, Canada where she received an undergraduate degree, completing a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.  After graduating, she attended law school at Ohio Northern University, Claude W. Pettit College of Law, and graduated with her J.D. in 2001. While at Ohio Northern, she competed in Moot Court Competitions, was involved in Mediation and Arbitration hearings and completed a Criminal Internship where she represented clients in temporary protection order hearings, criminal misdemeanor offenses, and traffic trials under a 3rd year bar card at the Public Prosecutor's Office in Lima, Ohio. In the four years preceding her move to Houston, Texas, she worked in the field of Immigration Law and Personal Injury Law. Her Immigration experience included handling Family-Based and Employment-Based Immigration cases including TN Visas, H-1B Visas, F-1 Student Visas, Fiance Visas, Permanent Resident and Green Card applications, and Naturalization applications. Prior to becoming licensed in Texas, she worked at a Property Tax Consulting Firm in Houston, TX, that specialized in advocating, protesting property taxes on behalf of residential clients in Harris County.  After becoming licensed in Texas in 2005, she worked at a national tax advisory firm and specialized in providing federal and state tax credits, incentives, exemptions and deductions, among other specialty tax services to a broad spectrum of clients throughout the United States, ranging from individuals and start-up companies to Fortune 1000 corporations.
