A. Elicia Montoya is a partner at the award-winning New Mexico law firm of McGinn Montoya Love Curry & Sievers PA, where she has dedicated her practice to making a difference in her clients’ lives. She is proud to help people through difficult times, namely after a catastrophic injury or the death of a loved one due to the negligence of another. Her practice is driven by her passion to hold wrongdoers accountable and prevent needless tragedies from happening yet again.

Ms. Montoya treats her clients like family—to her, the cases are personal. She is tireless in her advocacy because she views her cases as causes. When not in the office, Ms. Montoya volunteers her legal services for important causes, serves on various boards, and gives her time to numerous organizations throughout the state. For instance, she serves on the board of directors for the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association and as a hearing officer for the NM Ethics Review Board.

This commitment to making a difference was born long before Ms. Montoya was sworn in as a lawyer. In her law school days, she received the Margaret Keiper Dailey Award for Social Justice and helped found the very first Children’s Law Clinic at the University of New Mexico School of Law. She also served as an adjunct professor at the University of New Mexico, where she taught trial skills to lawyers from across the country.

Ms. Montoya has successfully tried cases in courts throughout the state of New Mexico.
