On my initial meeting with Ms CJ. Myers she insisted copies of my personal file be done in her office immediately although, I told her I would make copies and bring them back to her the next day. I got charged for this. From the discussion we had at our initial meeting, I felt confident that the prio...r history and associated (hostile) circumstances along with being provoked would be factored in and considered in association with my charge, they were not. It is very disheartening to discover how cut and dry the judicial system is set up when you don’t have the money to take your case to trail - shut up and accept it!! All the thousands of dollars I paid for my deposit and a reserve account is gone. More disheartening is being told that you still have money in your reserve but you don’t receive it back at the end and the time spend making copies in the office unnecessarily will not reimbursed. I contemplate rather I should have went with a Public Defender. The respect I had for the judicial system is tainted. My feeling is that money is the main incentive not fair justice.
