Mr. Sutherland took my case when no other attorney would. I was injured in an auto accident. He settled my case for almost three times more than what I was expecting. He really cares about his clients.

Construction contract and blue prints

My wife and I were involved with a contractor in Lake Havasu City that wrote a contract & had blue prints (all of us had reviewed) for our dream home to be built. As the home was being built, I was on site and nothing went with the blue prints, contract or what my contractor like to call the model. T...his contractor was fired off the job a few times for his misconduct and his disregard for his customer. There are windows, electric out lit, lights, fans, square footage of home and garage missing. Rooms were made smaller, fireplaces put with in the same area as heater and smoke will come into the home. Roof leeks at 9 areas. Carpet was added to all baths (Paid for tile). Ground work was graded into home, when it rains, the home floods. Safe is upside down. The list goes on and on. We had 114 items wrong with this home and most are LHC codes that were not followed. This was an open and shout case, we thought. This case took from 2001 till 2010 to finish. The attorney I had referred Mr. Sutherland as a litigator that could handle my case. My wife and I spent over $88,000.00 for this attorney, experts & other cost for this case. In the end, this attorney was not up to date with what needed to be done and decided that he could not handle the case and gave up and told us that we would lose, due to the contractor was a good ol boy in Havasu and threat to file bankruptcy and not even the law would stand up to him. We did find this to be true, since once after the house was built, the contractor blocked our driveway & we could not leave our home, police were called and nothing happened. We did not even get a police report or number; it was also handled by a good ol boy in Havasu. Think this can’t happen? Move to Havasu and see your money get taken by contractors, attorneys and the courts. The last laughs are on your bank account.
