Terry Green

Mr. Green's practice focuses primarily on education law - specifically, representing and advising public school districts, charter schools and other public entities throughout Arizona. Mr. Green provides proactive advice and assistance to his clients on a variety of matters including student discipline, personnel issues, Governing Board liability, open meeting laws, public records issues, procurement and contracting questions, school finance processes and compliance, election law disputes and litigation, EEOC complaints, employment law matters, and disability law issues such as special education due process hearings, Office of Civil Rights (OCR) complaints, and special education state complaints.

Mr. Green served as a public school teacher and administrator for thirteen years both in Arizona and overseas, working with the Department of Defense school system at a U.S. base in Japan.  He holds current Arizona certifications as a secondary school teacher, a principal, and a superintendent, and has worked as a school district finance director and business manager.  Mr. Green co-founded and serves on the Board of Directors of the Blue Ridge Education Foundation, and also regularly provides pro bono legal assistance to other charitable organizations. Mr. Green is able to draw upon his extensive professional experience as both an educator and an attorney to provide accurate and timely advice to school leaders on emergent legal and operational issues.  He is also able to assist with employee training and long-term strategies to help clients proactively avoid legal pitfalls, saving valuable resources for use in the classroom. 

Mr. Green believes in making the effort to truly understand the environment and culture of each of his clients' organizations, and works hard to personally attend meetings and events whenever invited. The goal for Mr. Green is to grow to become a known and trusted team member who can then forsee and advise on potential issues before they become legal problems for his clients.
