Nicholas Bielat

Nicholas Bielat is a registered patent attorney with a background in optical engineering, photovoltaics, and technology transer.  He works principally in preparing and prosecuting patent applications, with a focus on optics, astronomy, and software technologies.  Prior to joining Hayes Soloway, Nicholas was a Research Fellow with the University of Arizona's Office of Technology Transfer, and prior to that was a student assistant on the Large Binocular Telescope Interferometer group.  Nicholas holds bachelor's degrees in optical engineering and engineering management from the University of Arizona.

A Tucson native, Nicholas enjoys helping local clients build and expand their businesses through intellectual property.  Nicholas serves clients from all backgrounds - especially independent inventors, startups, and small businesses - and works hard to create IP strategies that will provide value where it is needed most.
