Amanda Taylor Stafford

Amanda Stafford is an associate attorney at the Behan Law Group. Ms. Stafford is a graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas William S. Boyd School of Law and University of Arizona.

While in law school, Ms. Stafford was an active participant in several organizations including the Tax Clinic where she advocated for her indigent clients. Ms. Stafford also served on the Nevada Law Journal as an Executive Editor. Additionally, she was an active member and vice president of her school’s moot court team. As a member of the moot court team, Ms. Stafford traveled to compete in oral argument competitions across the county. Ms. Stafford also worked with the Board of Indigent Defense Services for the state of Nevada to create standards for defense attorneys around the state. Upon graduation, Ms. Stafford received the Dean’s Award for her contributions to her law school and dedication to her studies.

Following graduation, Ms. Stafford clerked for the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division 1 in Phoenix. During that time, Ms. Stafford worked on a variety of cases including criminal matters of the most serious charges. Ms. Stafford then returned to Tucson and joined the Behan Law Group. Since joining the Behan Law Group, Ms. Stafford has worked to defend clients’ rights, resulting in several cases dismissed for speedy trial violations and dismissal of DUI charges in cases with blood alcohol concentrations over a .20.
