Biography
I am a retired lawyer in the Phoenix area. I earned my Juris Doctorate with Honors from Western Michigan University in 2007 after being wounded in action and retiring from the US Army in 2004.
My law career spanned various roles including prosecutor, defense attorney, veterans treatment court advocate, and legal aid lawyer across Illinois, Wisconsin, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Arizona. I am still actively licensed in Illinois with membership in the Chicago Bar Association.
I am also a retired police lieutenant after working 30 years in law enforcement beginning in 1987. I served my communities as a police officer in the Chicago and Milwaukee areas. I was also a sworn Assistant District Attorney in Milwaukee.
I served my country as a military police sergeant during the Cold War, Gulf War, and Iraq War. My awards include the Combat Action Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campign Medal with 2 bronze stars, and Purple Heart Medal.
