I can't believe this attorney is allowed to practice law in Arizona!

If you need a question answered about your case or need an attorney that actually is looking out for your best interests, this is NOT the person to use for any sort of legal situation, especially divorce and/ or child custody. I specifically asked him to run all decisions by me before they were enter...ed into court records. He not only did NOT do that, but conferred with my ex's attorney, without my knowledge, filed paperwork and then, had me "look" at it to review after it was filed and could not be changed. If I had a problem with it, it didn't matter. I accused him of collusion, which he then immediately filed to withdraw as counsel. The proof of the collusion is in the last paperwork he filed to continue a motion. He did this after he withdrew as counsel. He knew it was going to cause me problems. It was malicious. He also asked me to lie to the IRS about my ex's income. What lawyer tells you to do that? His paralegal made numerous errors. She couldn't get dates right, I had to call in four times to get them to send my correspondence to the correct address, and literally yelled at me when a Parent Conference was canceled and SHE did not inform me of it. Mr. Sherrill didn't believe me when I told him what had happened, yet, I have the recorded conversation to prove it! Mr. Sherrill did not invoice me my bill until 48 hours before our first court session ( I had retained him three months prior) and he told me that the retainer was gone and needed to be replenished. 48 hours before we even stepped foot in the courtroom! Every time I saw him he would brag about his 30 years of experience. Experience in what? After he withdrew as counsel, he refused to give me back my paperwork, and, to this day, has never given me the exact reason for his withdrawal. I think it has something to do with him telling me to lie to the IRS. I contacted the State Bar of Arizona and the IRS. There is an investigation that has been started by both agencies. The most important thing I can say in this review is that Mr. Sherrill put me in a very bad position in the fact that he left me unprotected at a crucial time in my case. I have absolutely none of my paperwork from him and I am now forced to represent myself or take a chance on another attorney. Fortunately, I probably have a better chance of winning without Mr. Sherrill. I can back up every comment I made in this review with recordings, emails, court records, and evidence submitted to the court. I do not want this to happen to anyone else and that is why I felt it was important to explain what has happened to me with this attorney.
