Jon L. Phelps is an Arizona native and was raised in the Phoenix area. He is a magna cum laude graduate of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Arizona State University. While in law school, Jon was a four time Pedrick Scholar and was a Production Editor for Jurimetrics, The Journal of Law, Science, and Technology. Based upon his academic performance in law school, he became a member of the Order of the Coif, an honor society recognizing law students at select law schools who graduate in the top 10 percent of the class.
After graduation from law school, an article he wrote was published in Jurimetrics. An earlier version of the same article was selected as the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law’s first prize winner of the Nathan Burke Memorial Competition sponsored by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.
Jon worked in a mid-sized law firm upon graduation from law school for over three years, working primarily on business litigation, personal injury, bankruptcy, and medical malpractice cases. Since opening his own practice, Jon has focused his practice on family law, personal injury, bankruptcy, and employment discrimination cases. He is a current member of the State Bar of Arizona in good standing and is admitted to practice in Federal and Bankruptcy Courts for the District of Arizona.

small claims suit
Jon represented me in a small claims suit filed by a person with whom I had a business relationship. He was timely, efficient and negotiated a fair settlement.
