Posted by anonymous | July 23, 2020 | Hired Attorney | Wrongful Termination

This guy will get you the RESULTS you are looking for!!!

Tom Horne was a godsend to me when I needed it most. Thank you, Lord! I am a state employee that was wrongfully terminated. My discharge was based on nothing but pure retaliation. State employees have less rights then normal folks. Overall, I had hired three attorneys that ended up screwing up my ca...se royally. I followed all the rules regarding my termination. I filed with the EEOC, received right to sue the State from Washington D.C. that agreed there was an error in my termination. My first attorney buckled upon the first phone call conversation with the Attorney General’s office. He changed the direction of my case that I did not want to go and without permission and after he did and was called on it, he immediately wanted off the case. The second attorney was hired. She completely abandoned my case and did nothing which lead me to the third attorney (a well-known firm). I felt confident after the meeting that they could accomplish the goal of getting my case back on track and winning. The senior attorney (owner) stated he would oversee the case but wanted to have a junior attorney be on it as well to learn. Big mistake, he actually handed off the case to Junior that ended up screwing up my case even more. They did not listen to my request to be present during dispositions and lack of communication on keeping me posted and timelines were missed. Because of this the AG’s office was able to be awarded a “judgment summary” against me, which means my case was won by the State without a day in court or one piece of evidence ever being seen by a jury. This lead me to Tom Horne, a former “Attorney General”. I needed an attorney that could appeal the summary judgment at the 9th District of Appeals and was not afraid to take on the Attorney General’s office. He reviewed my case and immediately took it on. He was so kind, calm, and confident during the whole process while educating me on what to expect. He was my last hope of getting my case back in court and getting my career back. I have been working in this field since I was 19 years old. This whole process has been going on since 2014. OMG, HE DID IT!!! We won the appeal and it has been ordered back to Federal Court for trial. As of right now, this is where I am in the process. This was a MAJOR victory that I could not let go without showing appreciation and a HUGE shout out of “THANK YOU!” My hope of justice has been restored to this point. Once I win in Federal Court, and I will. I will be posting another review to provide follow-up with my case and the outcome. If you are feeling all hope is lost with your case then you need to speak to Tom. I can tell you from experience that attorneys have the gift of gab and can sell you promises on what they might be able to do but Tom Horne can show you RESULTS on how it is done pure and simple. If YOU are reading this review and are looking for an attorney hang in there. I was doing the same thing you are doing right now feeling hopeless, lost, and praying for someone to help me. If you are a STATE employee then there is NO DOUBT this is the attorney you will need PERIOD to fight your case. A big shout out to Tom’s staff that are the nicest ladies to deal with and their kindness and understanding helped me through a very dark period in my life by being the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

I highly recommend him for his compassionate understanding; he is a credit to the legal profession!

Attorney, Litigator, and consultant

Thomas C. Horne has been the attorney whom I have consulted with for a number of years in regard to a diversified selection of issues. I find Thomas Horne to be a man of honor; highly intelligent and very experienced. No matter how big or how small the case might be, Tom evaluates the situation with ...equal devotion, and without loosing any of his client's time. He is honest and reliable. Previously, he was the Attorney General in Arizona. His diverse experience in law, places him in a unique category. He is reliable and efficient. I recommend Thomas C. Horne very highly to all those looking for a litigator.

Very concerned and thoughtful advocate

We only had a brief interaction with Horne Law but it was very successful. We had been working with another law firm on a dispute and the other law firm kept pushing us to settle for terms that seemed wholly unfair and unjust. We transferred our case to Tom as we wanted to understand our options and ...entertain litigation. Tom told us we had a strong case so we sued. In a matter of days, after opposition learned that we had hired Tom we got the settlement and the terms we wanted. Tom is a skilled commercial litigator with a broad understanding of Arizona Law. If you want to fight back, I suggest calling Tom Horne. He will be very fair and give you an objective opinion. Then he has the experience and skill to help you win.

Probate Court

Tom is a kind, thoughtful, patient, and winning counsel. My case was particularly challenging as it was a probate case involving inter vivos transfers from my parents to me. My siblings challenged those transfers and accused me of mishandling my parent's estate. I was notified of a FedEx pac...kage at 330 pm the day before I was to appear in court. I called Tom in a panic. He settled me down and asked me to call the office and request a member of his firm to push other actions aside to deal with this emergency. I had no idea of the legal ramifications until Tom explained them to me and they were daunting and scary. I stood to lose my home, 1.2 million dollars in cash, and irrevocably withdrawn as a beneficiary of the trust (something my parents would never have supported). I was counseled, advised, given straightforward legal advice and I quote: “I will advocate for you to the end, and I will advise you as to what is in your best interest.” That statement stuck with me to this day. He did exactly that. Most importantly we won!!! I do not have to return any assets, was forever indemnified against my siblings suing me regarding the estate, and he wanted to buy lunch afterward. Now, how can you beat that?
