Sonia M Phanse

Sonia is a Pittsburgh native. Sonia’s practice focuses, business, tax and estate planning, as well as commercial secured and unsecured lending, and state and federal taxation. Sonia also assists clients with complex business transactions, entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, employment and operating agreements.
Sonia’s full service estate planning practice includes the preparation of revocable and irrevocable wills and trusts, durable powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney and living wills, life insurance trusts, charitable trusts, succession plans for closely held businesses, family limited partnerships and minor’s trusts. Sonia also specializes in complex secured and mezzanine financing transactions and associated business formation and planning.
Sonia has extensive experience organizing and structuring joint venture relationships around real estate and real estate financing transactions, including transactions involving limited liability companies, corporations and partnerships, and the preparation of operating agreements, partnership agreements, shareholder agreements for large and small business – from start-ups to established institutional clients and publicly traded entities.
Sonia’s annual transaction volume regularly exceeds $250,000,000 a year, and her experience includes highly complex real estate and business acquisitions, asset-based and unsecured financing and debt restructuring.
Sonia is a Partner at Shein Phanse Adkins, P.C., and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California in 2000. She graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2004 and earned her LL.M. in taxation from Golden Gate University in 2005.
