Veronica-Adele Cao

Veronica Cao received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Santa Clara University School of Law in May 2003. As a law student, she earned her Certificate in High Technology Law through successful completion of courses specializing in areas of Intellectual Property Law such as patents, copyrights and trademarks. 

Veronica Cao’s extensive knowledge of Patent Prosecution and Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation is evident through her 12 years as a registered U.S. Patent Attorney at Weiss & Moy, P.C. Regarding Veronica’s skill in Patent Prosecution, her experience is limitless as she has conducted IP audits, managed patent portfolios, and prepared and prosecuted numerous patent applications in various technical fields such as: sporting equipment, methods of exercise, medical devices, physical therapy devices, chemical compositions, electrochemical devices, biochemical processes, geology, atmospheric chemistry, automotive technology, electronic cigarettes, gaming, furniture, simple mechanical devices, and design.

Similar to her understanding of Patent Prosecution, Veronica’s expertise in IP Litigation has consisted of actively participating in all stages of litigation in various patent, copyright, and trademark infringement cases. As part of these litigation matters, she has negotiated and drafted settlement agreements and license agreements.
