We have had great experiences with all 3 of our adoptions with Janet Story! She is very responsive, communicates well, is kind and professional! Janet did an amazing job walking us through a complicated guardianship situation! She is competent, confident, professional and personable. Not only did she help us understand and complete the required filing documents and represent us with the courts but she was a great encouragement to keep moving ...forward when the process looked like it would not go through due to an outside individual trying to subvert the process. Janet's law firm also represented us as our adoption a few years ago and they did such a wonderful job that they were the first we contacted for help with out guardianship. We've adopted three children with Janet as our attorney. With one of our adoptions, the social worker messed up the government's paperwork and then quit her job, leaving an absolute mess just days before the adoption was supposed to be finalized. Janet caught the problems and was able to get everythi...ng fixed, and our adoption happened on time. Janet is very thorough, effective, and knowledgeable. She also truly cares about the children who are being adopted. I talked to Janet a few years after my adoptions, and she remembered my children's names and asked about them. I've also seen Janet work tirelessly to advocate for children who are still in foster care. When I sat on a state commission that was reviewing foster care regulations, Janet spent a lot of time answering questions and researching and helping. No one had to ask her to help. She saw there was a need, and she helped. She truly cares, and I have seen her pitch in and help time and time again over the years. Janet has a stellar reputation within the adoption community because she does great work and because she cares.
