David C Tierney

I am a Boston native and a Harvard Law School graduate and have been 41 years in Phoenix.  I am a litigator and my practice is mostly construction law and real estate law, with a large amount of service as a mediator and an arbitrator.  Most of the cases in which I serve as either are construction law based, but many have business law and real estate law components as well. I have mediated 90 cases in the last 12 years, some for AAA but many as a private mediator.  I am fluent in Spanish and recently handled an arbitration in which one side testified in Spanish and I asked questions of the witnesses in that language.  I am listed in Best Lawyers, Top Litigators, and have recently been named in a list of Arizona's 50 top lawyers.   I do a lot of extra-curricular work and am head of the ADR Section of the State Bar this year, serve on a City of Phoenix Task Force regarding Budget Issues, serve as head of the Quality Care Committee for St Joseph's Hospital (where I am in my third year on the Community Booard of the Hospital, and am involved in using Probationer labor to do construction repairs on buildings owned by charitable coprporations.  I have nine other extracurricular committments.
