I wish I would have found Angela Peacock sooner! Her knowledge of family law was beyond my expectations as well as her professionalism. She was very adept and punctual at responding to phone calls and emails. She even went out of her way responding on weekends and afterhours to ensure I received t...he answers to my questions and confirmed I understood everything. When meeting on phone calls or in person, she was great on staying on task and keeping track of items that needed to be addressed during the meeting. She provided great feedback regarding items that she had run into in the past with other cases and provided her expert opinion on how she believed things could go, which in some cases was not in our favor. Angela’s knowledge of family law is second-to-none and we experienced this from the moment we had our introductory meeting, based on her understanding of our situation once explained, through to the day we had our successful final outcome. She asked pointed questions, pointed out the flaws in our cas...e we would have to address and offered possible paths we would take to remedy depending on the respondents actions from the outset. Angela continued to steer us in the right direction all through the case and was effective, clear and concise in her filings and petitions. If you expect to hire a top professional with exhaustive knowledge of the law, Angela provides that in abundance. Once satisfied with her knowledge, it was also very important to us that Angela had a caring character and would act in a way consistent with how we view the world. It’s easy to find an aggressive attorney but much harder to find a compassionate attorney that is assertive and steely to back-up their knowledge when needed. Angela has these qualities in abundance. She handled our cares and concerns directly and clearly and was patient with our long list of ‘what if’ questions, always replying in a timely manner and offering to meet whenever we needed by whatever method suited us. She does expect you to do the work with her, but if you’re interested in a successful outcome and you are smart, then you’ll follow her advice as she knows her business. She also does this in a way that allowed us to save money, as she gave us lots of homework that allowed us to keep our costs down when she could of easily had her office do the work and just billed us for the hours. Angela outlined our case from the very beginning in a very matter-of-fact way and continued that approach throughout our case. I have to emphasize that this was critical as we were quite emotional over this case. We needed somebody with clarity and vision that would not get wrapped up in our emotion. Too many people sympathize vs. strategize. When you hire an attorney for a family law case, you need your attorney to do the latter and strategize and that is what Angela provides. She focuses on the law, the strategy, the process, the requirements and the step-by-step approach needed to walk through the case and this helps ease the emotional stress. This was not a one-time thing. As you move through a case like this, things come up that are emotional and have to be dealt with and Angela was there every step of the way each time a situation came up to help explain and calm us. Angela also gave us input forcing us to think about future issues that may arise that had not previously considered and should provide safeguards against. This was not something that she was going to get paid for or credit for in the future, but it was another example of her diligent and professional attitude in providing us that outlook. We now have some solid plans in place for dealing with situations that may arise because of Angela’s advice. I would recommend Angela to anybody looking to fight a family law case. At the beginning of my divorce/relocation proceeding, I was using a different attorney, and I lived across the country. Initially, I made some poor decisions which was based upon some bad advice that I received from my first attorney. I wanted a second opinion, and I met with Ms. Peacock. After my ...initial meeting with Ms. Peacock, I immediately had my first attorney withdraw from my case, and I hired Ms. Peacock based on her knowledge, truthfulness and professionalism as a Certified Family Law Specialist. Here are some examples: Ms. Peacock explained everything in depth to me, with examples and statues when applicable. I felt this displayed her knowledge of the law, thoroughness, and patience with me.
