Walter E Moak

Mr. Moak knew that I was in a crisis situation financially. I believe he told me untrue information in an effort to get my case. Six months after filing chapter 7 bankruptcy I am facing the exact situation that caused me to file bankruptcy in the first place, losing my home. The attorney for the or...ganization that has a lien on my home told me that bankruptcy would not stop the sale of my home only postpone it. Mr. Moak told me filing bankruptcy would leave the lien attached to my home but stop the sale of it. I would not recommend Walter Moak to anyone. He was vague, condescending, and I do not honestly think he did his due diligence with my case. I mostly talked via email with his paralegal and often wouldn't hear from his office for weeks unless I was doing the follow up. I have learned a valuable lesson by using Walter Moak as an attorney. Next time I need an attorney I will interview three or four no matter my desperation level.

We hired this firm to handle our Chapter 13 bankruptcy. He was paid in full at the time of our consultation. He did not show up to our initial hearing; He never responded to emails/calls; It seemed like he never knew what was going on in our case. After over a year and a half since our initial filing..., we still did not have a confirmed bankruptcy plan approved by the court because he could never get anything filed in time. During that time we had 2 notices of intent to dismiss from the trustee. We had to hire another firm to clean up the mess he left us in. Dealing with this firm has been nothing but a nightmare!!
