A Strategic, Experienced Attorney Who Puts Children’s Safety First

Tom Alongi was my lawyer for the last 6 years during my divorce, and I can say without hesitation that he is the best attorney I have ever worked with. Tom guided me through some of the most difficult years of my life with a level of professionalism, strength, and compassion that is rare in the legal... world. Tom is not just knowledgeable — he is strategic. He understands family law, domestic violence dynamics, and appellate issues at a level that shows his decades of experience. He always came prepared, always knew the law, and always fought for me with integrity. In court, he is calm, confident, and incredibly effective. When he speaks, judges listen. What I appreciated most is that Tom truly heard me. He never dismissed my fears or minimized what I was going through. He helped me stay grounded, helped me understand the process, and helped me find my voice again. Over seven years, he consistently protected my rights, my safety, and my children well‑being. Tom is honest, ethical, and deeply committed to his clients. He never made false promises — he delivered results. He stood by me through every hearing, every filing, every crisis, and every victory. I always felt safe with him on my case. Tom and his team are truly a blessing!

Poor communication and lazy

Had him for a year. He refused phone calls and insisted on emails only. His customer service skills is severely poor for example he doesn’t communicate well prior and after hearings. ABA also found he commited a technical violation. He failed to protect us from the abuser. Won’t recommend him at all....

We can safely say we do not refuse phone calls, and go to great lengths to explain the court process. This is especially true when the judge has made a decision that puzzles or upsets the client. We are also unaware of any "findings" by the ABA concerning "technical violations." The ABA has never contacted us about the quality of our work, and would not, since that organization is not responsible for lawyer regulation. No attorney at this law firm has ever been disciplined by the Arizona State Bar, either. Family court can be frustrating or bewildering to many people, and clients sometimes harbor unrealistic expectations because they do not appreciate how the law has to work in a given situation. That is a very human response that we do understand. We wish the best to all our clients.

Arizona’s best family law Attorney!!

Thomas Alongi is a complete professional who is brilliant in his understanding and interpretation of family law. I came to him in a desperate state where a previous attorney had completely botched my case by untimely filings. My first encounter with Tom’s firm was a very compassionate and understa...nding conversation with his assistant/paralegal Tawsha. My case was complicated . I hired The Alongi firm at the eleventh hour. Tom was able to dissect and reconstruct years of information and get positive results in a short week. He kept me and my children safe from domestic violence and completely turned my nightmare situation into the results I desired. He and his staff have a deep and profound understanding of domestic violence and the Law. I could only say that my children’s lives and mine were protected through the courts only because of Tom Alongi’s just and fair way of dealing with a very complicated court system.

Compassionate, Hardworking Attorney

After hiring multiple other attorneys and not feeling satisfied with the work they were doing, I finally found Tom Alongi to help me with my child custody/relocation case. Alongi is hardworking, empathetic, and highly knowledgable about family law! I greatly appreciate that Tom was always very open a...nd honest about all of my options so I could decide what decisions to make for my son and I. Tom is also very knowledgable and compassionate about cases involving domestic abuse and I consider him to be an advocate for survivors. His paralegal, Tawsha, was also excellent. I would recommend Tom Alongi to anyone who is looking for an attorney who is going to take their case seriously and achieve the best possible outcome.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
