Ty Robert Catmull

Ty Catmull is an injury attorney specializing in pre-litigation and litigation cases in the Phoenix office of Thompson Law. Ty has dedicated his career to advocating for individuals who have suffered severe injuries or wrongful death. With experience representing thousands of clients, he has successfully recovered millions of dollars in settlements across a variety of cases, including motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-fall incidents, dog bites, wrongful death claims, diminished value claims, workers' compensation cases, and premises liability disputes. His extensive legal expertise spans preventive counseling for corporate in-house counsel, complex bankruptcy transactions, government-sector litigation, and representing clients in private civil matters.

A proud fifth-generation Arizonan, Mr. Catmull graduated from Hamilton High School in Chandler and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, Cum Laude, from Arizona State University. During his time at ASU, he reported as a sports broadcaster for the university’s news program, Cronkite Newswatch, and contributed to the Sun Devils 101 series on Fox Sports Arizona. He went on to earn his law degree from the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law, where he contributed to the Arizona Journal of International and Comparative Law.

Throughout his legal career, Mr. Catmull has secured over $70 million in settlements for his clients. When he’s not working, he treasures time with his family and enthusiastically supports his favorite Arizona teams—the Suns, Cardinals, Diamondbacks, Wildcats, and Sun Devils—while hoping for a long-awaited championship win.
