I hired my attorney, Scott Hyder, outside of Avvo. Scott Hyder is a very excellent, highly skilled attorney, with many years of experience and an excellent reputation. He responds quickly to his client’s needs and treats them very well with care and respect. He explains the law and legal terminology ...in simple layman’s terms and is very supportive when events start to feel a bit overwhelming. Scott Hyder helped me over a 3-year period from March 2021 through April 2024. I was one of the beneficiaries of a large family trust that was being improperly administered. Proper books and records were not being maintained and periodic accounting reports were not being provided to the beneficiaries which was defeating the internal controls designed to prevent fraud. Scott Hyder used his legal skills, persistence, and persuasion to force the successor trustee to provide missing account statements and other financial documents which allowed the beneficiaries to determine the total amount and location of the trust assets. Scott Hyder did this without going to court, which would have been even more time consuming and expensive. Scott helped the beneficiaries determine the true value of the trust assets; the beneficiaries received the accounting information they were due; and three beneficiaries received a larger distribution of assets than they otherwise would have received.
