Brad Smith and the Suzuki Law Firm

Our son needed Federal representation and the Suzuki Law Firm was there at a late hour when other firms weren't available. They held our hand through a very challenging ordeal and built a relationship of trust with us, very quickly. Federal cases aren't easy and we were looking for expertise, fight a...nd candor. Thank You for Saving My Daughter’s Life, Truly an Exceptional Attorney

I never thought I would have to use a criminal attorney. Unfortunately, I received a call by federal agents that arrested my daughter with a “friend” on very serious federal charges. I was in shock and didn’t know what to do. My family has never been in trouble before, so I was at a loss. I spoke... to a few attorneys and they really didn’t seem to care very much about my concerns, they just talked about money. I didn’t know what to do, so I spoke to a few friends and Mr. Suzuki’s name always came up since he was both a former federal and state prosecutor. I called on a weekend, and Mr. Suzuki took my call. He immediately made me feel a little better, under the circumstances, and set an appointment with me the next day, which was a Sunday. When I met with him, he was very understanding and really took time to listen. She was facing a mandatory 10 year federal prison term. My daughter and I met with Mr. Suzuki and his investigator many times throughout the 13 months. We cried a lot, and he was always very understanding and would tell us that he is doing everything possible to help her. The “friend” ended up getting 60 months prison and she had NO priors. We were very scared and knew my daughter was going to do some time, and now her friend got 5 years. Mr. Suzuki said he will do his best to get better. At sentencing I saw a lawyer who genuinely cared for his clients, not only argue using his legal experience but more importantly using his heart. He demonstrated that my daughter, having no priors, deserved another chance. He painted a picture for the judge of the girl I raised, one with morals with a family that supports her and who was very remorseful. Due to Mr. Suzuki’s dedication for my daughter’s case the federal judge granted her PROBATION! We are truly blessed that we hired Mr. Suzuki! Mr. Suzuki demonstrated compassion and professionalism throughout the entire process. This review is the least I can do for him, thank you and your team Mr. Suzuki. My daughter and I will forever be grateful!

I learned of Richard Suzuki through one of his previous client's that was very pleased with his services. In 2017 I hired Richard to defend my son in a serious Federal case. After speaking with Richard during our consultation I was impressed by his knowledge of the Federal Court system, his professio...nalism and genuine concern. From beginning to end Richard and his staff were always friendly and available to answer any questions I had. He always kept my son and I updated with the status of the case. Law team with integrity and heart.

Nov. 2017, while our son was pursuing a career in law enforcement in NV, he received an earth shattering call from an officer in AZ. The officer informed our son that he had been accused of a felony crime, if he was found guilty according to AZ law he would automatically be sentenced to 15 to 25 year...s in prison. As a family we had no idea how to even begin to fight for our son’s innocence. We spoke with two other law firms before our son chose the Suzuki Law Office, this definitely was the best choice for our son. The overwhelming helplessness began with the first law team that our family met with, 50,000 dollars upfront was due and that was not including the fee if our son was officially charged. The second law team appeared uninterested and believed in leaving the complaint alone because typically within a year complaints tend to dissipate. Did I mention if the charge was filed, that our son would automatically go to jail? The thought of jail time for our son was heart wrenching and devastating to our family. All we could see were his dreams and aspirations and the hard work he had put in during trainings and school go up in smoke. Our son felt like his life was over before it even began. Feeling very defeated and knowing we could not share this with anyone since our son was just beginning his career in law enforcement, we called the Suzuki Law Office. Our son spoke to the office staff while I listened quietly on speaker, from there he was then transferred over to Don Keenom (DK), the private investigator, who spoke to our son and asked point blank questions about the alleged crime and our son answered honestly. I then spoke to DK, and he told me that when he hung up from talking to Ryan, he knew our son was innocent and he wanted this case. DK informed me he had been a police officer and in charge of the sexual assault unit in Scottsdale, AZ, and that he was a good judge of character and he could tell by talking to my son and his responses that he was innocent. I felt that my son didn’t just have one person behind him, that he had and entire team that believed in his innocence. During the ordeal the entire law team treated our son with respect and dignity. They answered his calls quickly and every single one of his questions were answered with honesty. Not once did I feel like my son was just client, he was more than that, DK spoke to my son as if he was part of his family. Mr. Suzuki made a trip to NV and met with my son and I to review some information which easily could have been reviewed over the phone. I immediately sensed his warmth and kindness towards my son. Mr. Suzuki spoke to my son and I with honesty and empathy and answered all our questions with forthrightness. When we finished our meeting with Mr. Suzuki, my son stood up to shake his hand and Mr. Suzuki instead hugged my son, and I knew then that we had made the right decision in choosing Mr. Suzuki and his team as our guiding force in proving our son’s innocence to the complaint filed against him. I definitely had tears in my eyes that day simply knowing that someone else believed in my son’s innocence. The Suzuki Law Office helped our son each step of the way, and their goal was to get the case dismissed by the DA. They worked tirelessly and even drove to NAU from Phoenix simply to pick up paperwork that would not be emailed to their office. I am so glad they were on my son’s side and believed in his innocence. I would recommend the Suzuki Law Office in a heartbeat, I truly believe that without their experience and heart that our son’s case never would have reached such a successful conclusion and proof that justice really does exist for those that are good and honest. It truly is possible for a law team to be professional, honest, show initiative and have integrity but most importantly to have heart and believe in their clients, if that is what you are looking for, I highly recommend Suzuki Law Office.
