Kiersten A Murphy

Kiersten Murphy is a shareholder at Gallagher & Kennedy, P.A., practicing in public bidding and procurement law and commercial litigation. In addition, Kiersten has worked alongside lawyers in the firm’s Native American affairs practice. She is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and the American Bar Association, and is licensed to practice in all Arizona State Courts, the United States District Court of Arizona, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

As a member of the Public Bidding & Procurement practice group, Kiersten provides top-notch legal counsel to clients who need help identifying and pursuing opportunities to do business with the government. Nearly every government entity has its own procurement opportunity notification system, process, timeline, rules and regulations. Without adequate legal guidance, it can be intimidating and cumbersome for companies to identify these lucrative business opportunities, let alone pursue them.

The Public Bidding & Procurement practice group has extensive experience navigating the complex and specialized public bidding and procurement laws from start to finish, beginning with assisting clients to identify and pursue meaningful revenue-generating opportunities for their companies, and to work through bid protests and other contract-related matters.

As a commercial litigator, Kiersten represents businesses and individuals pursuing or defending against a variety of civil lawsuits, including: breach of contract claims, trade secrets, temporary restraining orders, judgment enforcement/collection, civil appeals, etc.

As a participant in the firm’s Native American Affairs practice, Kiersten has assisted in providing strategic legal advice to Native American tribes, tribal organizations and affiliated entities, including matters regarding tribal sovereignty and tribal government.
