After being harassed for 2 years by a neighbor and our HOA, we fortunately found Jake. For previous two years ...we fended off frivolous complaints that repeatedly required going before the board, yet none of the alleged violations lead to a single fine since it turned out, there were NO rule violations. New rules adopted, enforced without proper notice with immediate fines regardless of best and good faith efforts to meet the rules with nothing settled. Even after being inspected, no violation was ever identified. Jake made clear the options: submit to the ‘new’ rules and pay the fines, take over the board and change the rules, or sue the association in superior court. When it became obvious that even submitting to the new rules and paying the fines would just bring about something else (like trying to evict our dog!) and taking over the board was impossible, we were left with only one option.
