Probation issued in AZ, 2012
updated on 10/11/2017Probation means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The State monitors the lawyer's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
“In 2012 I represented 2 clients who had a conflict of interest. I withdrew and they both retained separate counsel. No case was compromised and no money was lost as a result. The Bar required I take a class on conflicts of interest and they routinely put attorneys on probation for a year. In 2013 I was removed from Probation although AVVO still thinks I am on probation. I am not and am all clear with the AZ Bar. Please feel free to ask me about this if you have any concerns”
