Sophia Lynn Custis Bennett

Sophia L. Bennett is a family law attorney at The Valley Law Group who represents clients throughout Arizona in all areas of family law, including divorce, asset division, child custody and support, domestic violence matters, and juvenile/dependency cases. She is known for a compassionate, strategic approach and for guiding clients through emotionally difficult disputes with care and diligence.

Before joining the firm, Sophia practiced at private family law firms in Mohave and Maricopa Counties, building experience in litigation, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution. She has also represented parents and children in dependency matters and served as counsel in Drug Court proceedings.

Sophia was admitted to the Arizona Bar in 2019 after earning her J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago John Marshall Law School, where she completed a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution and received academic honors. She earned her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Arizona with a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies. In 2024, The National Trial Lawyers named her a Top 30 Matrimonial and Trial Lawyer.
