From a post-football game incident that was provoked on me, I had to defend myself in a situation where I was restrained, then questioned by local authorities, then sent home, and was the one then later charged a few days later from a summons I obtained by mail for assault and disorderly conduct. No fines, no jail time, no community control, no probation, and on top, the potential of me losing my professional licenses and careers would have been a huge blow, all of which could have led me to more personal and collateral problems.
