Michael R King

Mike King is a founding partner of Gammage and Burnham. His practiceemphasizes creditors' rights and construction issues, but also includesconsulting and supervising throughout the firm's areas of areas include emphasis on creditors' rights, including bankruptcycases, general litigation, lender liability litigation, loandocumentation, workouts, foreclosures and forcible detainers as well asdeficiency collection and accounts collection. His client list includesbanks, mortgage companies, distributors in various industries, andleasing companies.

Mr. King is experienced in handling largelawsuits involving complex legal issues from crop damage claims andconstruction litigation to sophisticated Uniform Commercial Code cases.

Hisreal estate practice includes construction, lending and finance,development, leasing and sales of retail, office, hotel, residential,multi-family and industrial properties and planned communities, as wellas litigation in these areas.

Mr. King also representsconstruction clients including architects, engineers, contractors andmaterial suppliers, in lien and bond claims and other litigation, aswell as in contract negotiation and preparation. He is a co-author ofthe Arizona Construction Law Practice Manual & supplement publishedby the State Bar of Arizona.

In addition Mr. King representsclients in the organization and structure of corporations, partnershipsand other businesses including shareholder agreements and annualmeetings and filings.

Representing lenders and other clients incommercial lending and corporate finance areas, such as stockacquisitions and asset purchases, as well as representing parties toconstruction loans, semi-permanent loans and long-term financing isalso included in Mr. King's practice.

Mr. King also advisesclients on day-to-day business transactions, preparing and perfectingsecurity interests, preparing sales and license agreements,distribution agreements, credit agreements, copyright and trademarkapplications, other intellectual property matters, employmentagreements and advice on labor and other issues.

Mr. King hasbeen continuously listed in the Best Lawyers in America for bothConstruction Law and Commercial Litigation since 2007. He was alsorecognized in Southwest Super Lawyers in 2007 for Bankruptcy &Creditor Rights. An  active participant in his community he was awarded  the ames F Sullivan Lifetime Achievement Award for leadership and highest of standards among credit professionals.
